Kirkland Minoxidil Review
Kirkland minoxidil is made by Cosco and is the most common minoxidil product in the world, because it’s both cheap and quality product. There’s nothing new about it, it’s a generic minoxidil but it’s most probably the 1st minoxidil product you will see if you search for minoxidil on ebay or amazon. Minoxidil is a generic substance and anyone can manufacture it and sell it OTC. In the past minoxidil required a prescription but along the years it became a common product you can buy almost anywhere – online and in stores. Minoxidil is the most popular hair loss treatment in the world, it’s relatively safe – and its very effective, and since its generic its price can be very low.
Of course if you choose to buy minoxidil of a well known brand or a luxurious brand you will pay much more but basically it will be a waste of your money because the active ingredient minoxidil exists in both cheap and expensive products.
Kirkland minoxidil comes in 2 products – extra strength for men which is the 5% version and the 2% version for women. The 5% is the leader minoxidil product online, each box includes 3 plastic bottles, 2 oz each and you can order 3, 6 and 12 month supply. It is so cheap that now anyone can use minoxidil, for example you can get a 6 month supply for only $25 on amazon.com. The 2% version is harder to find, and it also seems like women prefer Rogaine over Kirkland, as women tend prefer brands they know or read about then men. Minoxidil 2% is always more expensive then the 5%. Doesn’t make sense right? you would expect that the 5%, which is higher then 2% will cost most, but that’s a good example of the market’s forces – the 5% versions of minoxidil are flooding the market as men are the largest market for hair loss products (women are the market for hare care and grooming products) so there is more competition and production of the 5% version so prices drops. On the other hand the production of the 2% version is low so prices are set higher. In addition – women are ready to pay more then men on hair & skin products while men are looking for ways to save, so the market adapts and set the prices based on demand and request balance.
The ingredients of Kirkland minoxidil are the same as of any other minoxidil solution – Minoxidil, Alcohol, Propylene Glycol, Purified Water – short and simple. If you are looking for the most affordable minoxidil products then these are your best options: the basic 5% version you most likely use Kirkland. If you are looking for stronger versions (more then 5%) then you should go for products such as minoxidilmax which offers the best prices in the market for such enhanced products. Last, if you are looking for minoxidil foam the only option is Men’s Rogaine Foam (patented product).
