proTHIK Reivew
ProTHIK is another hair concealer spray that temporarily covers your thinning areas, giving it a thicker full look and designed for colored hair. Concealers are a great solution for those who are looking for a quick and easy cosmetic solution or for those who want a cosmetic add-on to their hair loss treatment. ProTHIK is a aerosol hair thickening product that cosmetically eliminates bald spots. It claims to be “today’s most advanced resin technology to deliver quick and truly amazing results. Your toughest workout, swim, sweat, no problem! Not to be confused with similar but inferior products. This is the professional product”. Well, these claims have no solid base, as you will soon realize.
proTHIK Ingredients
Dimethyl Ether, SD Alcohol 40, Iron Oxides, Oxtylacrylamide/Acrylate Copolymer, Amino Methyl Propanol, Silica, Dimethicone Copolyol, Acrylate Copolymer, may contain Titanium Dioxide.
And I ask… where are the keratin fibers that exist in most hair concealers? apparently this product uses synthetic thickening ingredients. Would you like these ingredients to be sprayed on your scalp?
Using proTHIK Hair Volumizer
- Shake can well.
- Spray proTHIK while holding can about 3 or 4 inches away from the scalp.
- After proTHIK is dry, style with a coarse-toothed comb.
- To remove – wash with shampoo.
Side Effects
No side effects are reported for using proTHIK Hair Volumizer. Still, the product contains too many synthetic ingredients that may accumulate on your scalp and cause irritation or allergy, so if you pick this product test a small amount first.
Does proTHIK Work?
This product sticks, thanks to it’s ingredients. As a spray it is easier to apply than hair fiber concealers that come in a powder form, but the problem with sprays in general is that they don’t spray very precisely and evenly, and tends to spread around, including on the mirror and sink so you need to be accurate when applying sprays. The major problem is that sprays makes your hair look synthetic and less natural comparing to hair fibers powder products. It is also harder to find the right color match.
ProTHIK Hair Volumizer Conclusion
ProTHIK Hair Volumizer costs about $15 per 8.2 oz aerosol can and arrives in 5 colors – black, black-brown, dark brown, medium brown and light brown. I would suggest that you go for hair concealers that provide natural look, and contain natural keratin fibers. ProTHIK’s main problem is its synthetic ingredients, that will give a synthetic look. What counts in hair concealers it their ability to provide a full natural look, so it’s better to move on and choose a good hair fibers concealer such as Nanogen or MegaTHICK.
