Organin Review
Organin is a hair loss concealer designed like any other similar product to camouflage thinning hair and bald spots. It appears in a form of a powder and should be applied on your existing hair. It is available in eight shades like most hair concealers -, and is easily washes out with any shampoo. Concealers are temporary solutions for hair loss and thinning hair but you can use them together with any treatment including after hair transplant, as they are designed to add a full appearance. Does this product looks familiar??? I may have a solution to that…so keep on reading!
Organin Ingredients
- Rayon, cotton, nylon, keratin, ammonium chloride, silica
- Depending on the color, Organin may contain: FD&C yellow #5, FD&C green #3, FD&C blue #1, D&C orange #4, D&C red #22.
Now here’s what I found – this product is made in China – by the same creator of HairSoReal (HSR)!
If you check HSR ingredients – they are exactly the same, so does the can’s size. Both do not have a website and are sold only through dealers online. HSR and Organin are the same product, branded differently! (this is not the only case – XFusion and Toppik are another example of the same product, that is sold under 2 brand names, and also MegaTHIK and SureTHIK. Creating different brands to the same product is made due to marketing considerations).
How to Use Organin
- For best results, wash, dry, and style hair before applying the fibers.
- Apply Organin by sprinkling it over the thinning area you wish to conceal until the scalp is covered.
- Gently pat the area you have concealed with Organin to help the fibers to blend in with your natural hair.
- Optional – Apply hair spray over the area you have concealed with Organin, that will help lock the fibers to the hair.
Cost of Organin
A 90-day supply of Organin is sold in a 28-gram can for $29.95. If you need a hair spray you you get it separately. My advise to you – get HSR for $19.95 and save $10. It’s the same product.
Organin Side effects
There is a low risk of side effects because Organin does not contain active ingredients that treat hair loss, but still it does contain some synthetic ingredients that some suggest that may cause some skin irritation.
Organin vs Toppik / SureTHIK/ Nanofibers
Many people are satisfied with the results they get from Organin or HSR. These are mostly budget level buyers who find these products to be a good lower-cost alternative to the leading concealers who are more expensive.
Still it’s considered a lower quality product comparing to the leading hair loss concealer as it contain fibers not made of Keratin. Some users claim it does not have a natural appearance, that the fibers can be seen from a close look, and that it does not bind properly to the hair to last for a day. It is also more prone to drip or fall out it certain conditions.
Organin Conclusion
Organin is a cheap hair concealer, which is also sold under the brand name HSR. Personally I advise you to pay a bit more and get a high quality concealer. Few more bucks can make all the difference, secure satisfaction and prevent embarrassments.
