Nioxin System 2 is a product very similar to Nioxin System 1, except that System 2 is designed for people who are exposed to the sun. It contains moisturize agents and SPF 15 against the sun’s UV rays. If you expect to be out for long hours, this hair care product is a good way to protect you scalp form sun damages. How it Works

Like most Nioxin systems, 3 products are included:

1. Nioxin Cleanser: the same daily volumizing cleanser you also get in System 1.
2. Nioxin Scalp Therapy:  the daily volumizing scalp and hair conditioner you also get in System 1.
3. Nioxin Scalp Treatment: A daily leave-in scalp treatment with SPF 15 sunscreen that protects scalp skin from harmful UVA and UVB rays; while delivering essential botanicals, nutrients, antioxidants and cytokines (proteins) onto the scalp skin and hair to help safeguard against environmental residue and DHT buildup on the scalp. May cause temporary redness after application.

Nioxin System 2 Conclusion

This product is less popular as it contains SPF 15, and most people will not apply SPF on their scalp but usually wear a hat. Applying SPF on the scalp occasionally is fine but not many people are willing to do so daily, so this system, or more accurately – the scalp treatment can be used if you are on vacation. It’s better to get the Nioxin System Scalp Treatment bottle separately, and use it in case you plan to be exposed to the sun.
