Nanogaine Review
Nanogaine Hair Regrowth Maintenance System is made by Pangaea Laboratories Limited., a UK company. It is a water-based solution for maintaining strong healthy growth without the adverse effects from long term use associated with alcohol based products.
The product’s 3 active ingredients are Superoxide Dismutase, Capilecti, and Lo-Seband are said to work together to help stop hair loss and thinning hair.
How Nanogaine Works
Nanogaine is natural sibling of minoxidil which is synthetic and works like other hair loss treatments that are aimed to stimulate blood flow in the scalp in order to promote new hair growth. It is supposed to help reduce free radical damage and sebum output plus to reduce inflammation in the hair follicle. The product is supposed to be applied twice a day, once in the morning with the “day” formula and once in the evening with the “night” formula (you get 2 bottles).
Nanogaine Active ingredients
• Superoxide Dismutase (SOD): Superoxide is found in the body and, according to the company cause hair loss. It is a free radical that combines with nitric oxide to form Peroxynitrate, which is toxic and causes hair loss. SODs destroy the superoxide free radical so the production of peroxynitrate is blocked and hair loss is prevented. It’s important to remind that SOD has no effect on DHT.
• Capilecti: a lectin-like glycoprotein helping to agglutinate hair follicle cells together. Hair follicle agglutination and communication is important for healthy growth. This ingredient is supposed to expand the anagen growth phase and shorten the telogen/resting phase of the hair by 17%.
• Lo-Seb: A complex of homotaurine, bacterial filtrate peptides, and marine derived sulphomucopolysaccharide extracts. Lo-Seb is supposed to reduce sebum output that could be detrimental to hair growth.
Conclusion
Nanogaine is a product that comes to replace minoxidil which is only soluble in alcohol solutions and consequently may cause dry and flaky scalp over long-term use. It is a good product you may use together with any other hair loss treatment including minoxidil, but remember that just like minoxidil it does not contain DHT blockers, so it can’t be your main baldness cure. The problem with this product is its cost – $80 for one month supply of 2 bottles, so if you have the budget you may try this product otherwise leave it, there are cheaper, better products such as revivogen which is the best topical DHT blocker and minoxidil witch is the best hair growth stimulant.
