MiN New York is a brand name of product line that includes grooming products for men, including products for hair loss and hair color. It is considered to be a fancy brand, with beautiful product design, but at the end of the day when it comes to hair loss fancy products are not what you are looking for. The question is one – does it work? If the answer is yes then it may worth trying, otherwise it’s no. In some cases it’s maybe, when it works but too expensive or when there is not enough evidence it works, but it contains good ingredients.

MiN New York Agent (also known as Agent Minoxidil Nano Hair Loss Treatment) is a topical hair loss treatment for men who are suffering from pattern baldness. This product is based on minoxidil plus other ingredients.

MiN New York Agent Ingredients

• 5% Minoxidil. A basic, FDA approved over the counter drug, that is known to be the best follicle stimulant. Is is also the cheapest treatment you can find.

• Kopexil. The same ingredient developed by L’Oreal and marketed under the name Aminexil SP94. L’Oreal’s research indicated that one of the reasons for hair loss is due to the stiffening of the hair roots. Kopexil (Aminexil SP94) is supposed to help preventing the stiffening and premature aging of the hair roots.

• 2% Procapil. According to MiN New York  “This patented ingredient helps slow the aging effects of hair by lessening DHT production, thus improving irrigation of the hair follicle and stimulating the production of anchoring molecules. Procapil targets the main causes of alopecia (poor scalp micro-circulation), follicle aging and follicle atrophy caused by dihydrotestosterone (DHT).” Procapil is a combination of vitaminated biotinyl tripeptide-1 with apigenin and oleanolic acid, but there is no clinical poof it really works against DHT.

• 2% Copper Peptide Y3. MiN New York states that copper  “Introduces copper ions into the hair follicle area to inhibit DHT production in the scalp and activate the natural repair process that rebuilds and renews hair. Copper is vital to having healthy hair and scalp.” Copper is the active ingredient in hair loss products such as Tricomin and Folligen, it helps stimulate follicles and grow hair back.

How to Use MiN New York’s Agent

Apply daily before you go to sleep at night. Wash off in the morning. You need to apply it only once a day.  That’s how this stuff feels. MiN New York Agent is greasy, so it won’t be a good idea to apply it before you go out.

Conclusion

A 20 oz bottle costs $36, this should be enough for 1-2 months. MiN New York Agent’s ingredients are good but not the best hair loss product you can find, the copper % is low but the idea of the product is that the combination of few ingredients improves the overall effect of each ingredient. The DHT blocking effect based on the ingredients should be mild, so this product can’t be your saver in case of pattern baldness. It can be a complementary to other stronger treatments, and a replacement for your regular minoxidil.
