Kerastase Specifique Activeur 7
Kerastase Specifique Activeur 7 is a L’Oreal hair loss that is used in many different hair salons. The products in the Kerastase Specifique product line are designed to cure scalp imbalances. It is a topical product which is recommended for people with hereditary hair loss and when used daily the product is supposed to help preventing hair loss. The product contains nutrients but nothing special that blocks DHT, so the claim it can help stop hair loss as a result of heredity has is weak.
How it Works
Kerastase Specifique Activeur 7 should be applied on a dry scalp. It should be massaged into the scalp and not rinsed out and is claimed to have a “strengthening action.” This product contains Vitamin B-3 + E complex that are supposed to increase the blood flow of the scalp and stimulates hair growth. Results are supposed to be seen in weeks if used every day.
Main Ingredients
Kerastase Specifique Activeur 7 main ingredients are basically vitamins:
Vitamin B-3: is an essential vitamin for healthy skin, the gastrointestinal tract and the nervous system and general health but there is no mention of its contribution against hair loss.
Vitamin E: is the general name for a family of eight related tocopherols and tocotrienols, which are fat-soluble vitamins with antioxidant properties. It is proven to contribute to the skin and can be found in many skin products, but nothing is noted about its effectiveness against hair loss.
We all know that nutrients are important for our health, but no vitamin can block DHT.
Conclusion
Both Vitamin B-3 and E are vital for your health but so are all other nutrients. They will never help your hair loss unless you have deficiencies, and if you do – you may take only the vitamin you have low levels of.
Improving blood flow can help the health of your hair, but won’t stop pattern baldness and will not re-grow hair. The only way to stop pattern baldness is to block DHT but this product does not contain any DHT blockers. The product claims to show results withing weeks, but even the FDA approved treatments can’t work so fast. This product is designed for women, and just like with most cosmetic products it promises wonders, but fails to perform. This product can be used to maintain healthy scalp of healthy hair, but it is not a solution for hair loss. $47 for a 150 ml bottle.
