GraftCyte Review
The GraftCyte System has been originally developed to provide hair transplant patients with the benefit of science of wound, skin and hair biology. These products are manufactured by PhotoMedex (Nasdaq: PHMD), a company that offers innovative solutions in the areas of dermatology, therapeutic skin care and surgical products. In March 2005, PhotoMedex acquired Procyte Corporation — a biotech company that develops and markets products based on its patented, clinically proven Copper Peptide technology for skin health, hair care and wound care, that also had the CraftCyte products. GraftCyte products are supposed to help control crusting and enhance the healing of the hair transplant’s recipient and donor sites.
If you are wondering why the blue bottle in the picture looks like Tricomin, it’s just because PhotoMedex is also the manufacturer of the Tricomin products.

About some of the the ingredients
Disodium Cocoamphodiacetate: a mild detergent cleansing agent.
Sodium Laureth Sulfate: a detergent cleansing agent use in most shampoos.
Aloe Vera Gel: Aloe Vera Gel accelerates healing of the skin and reduces irritation.
Cocamidopropyl Betaine: a gentle surfactants (detergents) used in skin and hair care products.
Citric Acid: Extract derived from citrus and adjusts the pH level of products in order to prevent them from being too alkaline
Diazolidinyl Urea: a common type of preservative found in cosmetics products.
Methylparaben: one of a group of parabens, which are known as cosmetic preservatives.
Prezatide Copper Acetate: this is the active ingredient. You can read why it’s effective in the post about Tricomin.
Propylparaben: is another preservative.
Polysorbate 20: I aready wrote about Polysorbate 80 which is used against hair loss. Polysorbates works as emulsifiers and have mild surfactant properties
GraftCyte Cost
GraphCyte Shampoo and conditioner costs about $17 each (4 oz), the Spary which is the important product costs $170 for a 5.7 oz bottle! You must be asking yourself why it’s so expensive, maybe as its designed as a luxurious post transplant product.
Conclusion
Tricomin and GraftCyte sprays are made by the same company, and are actually sibling products. Even if GraftCyte is more concentrated it doesn’t mean it works better (and Folligen cream contains more copper then both). Tricomin spray costs less then $50 for 6 oz while GraftCyte costs $170 per 5.7 oz. If you are looking for copper peptide products – you can use Tricomin or Folligen. Tricomin shampoo and conditioner costs the same as GraftCyte shampoo and spray.
