Mel Gibson Hair loss

Mel Gibson is an Australian actor who became a mega-star. In the 80′s he made Mad Max trilogy (I’ve heard Mad Max 4 is in plan – without Mel) and then made the Lethal  Weapon films who made him a Hollywood superstar. He made so many movies… and even got the Oscar for best director for Brave Heart.

But we are not here to talk about Mel’s acting career, do we..

It’s his hair we are after… here goes.

Young Mel had great full hair. He even had long hair in Lethal Weapon 1-3, but then came Maverick. In Maverick premier Mel took a the lead, he was even joking with the photographers and TV crews who came to over it.  I remember that I saw it on TV, and was surprised to see that Mel’s crown area was thinning. It was obvious that his hair was not the full hair he used you have – or had in the movies. But in later movies he returned with full hair again, and I was too young to think about that.

In the late 90′s there were rumors about Mel having hair transplant. There were ever pictures on the internet, fake I guess, of a head after a transplant that was attributed to the star, but few years ago, it was crystal clear that 50 years old Mel is balding, not in the movies of course, in the movies his hair condition is great (except of “We Were Soldiers” from 2002, in which his receding hairline is more obvious).

In the following pics, taken in 2004 and 2006, you can see balding Mel and hair back Mel. The gray hair was changed into brown. And of course the famous pictures with his latest GF Oksana Grigorieva, in which he has perfect hairline, with color that looks natural and fits his age.

So What happened? there are only 2 options,  HT or hair system. There are many speculations about that, but still no strict answer, it’s for you to decide
