Folligen Cream Review
Folligen Cream is part of the Folligen hair loss products, designed by Skin Biology, a Dr. Loren Pickart’s company. Dr. Loren Pickart is the inventor of the copper peptide technology for hair loss, and is responsible for other products using it – Tricomin and GraftCyte.
Folligen Cream is supposed to be helpful (more then the Folligen lotion or spray) in stopping hair loss and promoting new hair regrowth, but can it really stop pattern baldness?
Folligen Cream Ingredients
Purified water, aloe barbadensis leaf juice (aloe vera) gel, copper peptides (hydrolyzed soy protein and cupric chloride), squalane, glyceryl stearate, PEG-100 stearate, ethylhexyl palmitate, stearic acid, cetyl alcohol, polysorbate 80, cupric chloride, saw palmetto oil, beta-sitosterol, allantoin, propylene glycol, methylparaben, propylparaben, diazolidinyl urea, tocophersolan (Vitamin E), menthol, lavandula augustifolia (lavender) oil, fragrance, mixed (alpha, beta, gamma, delta) tocopherols.
Copper Peptides:
This is the primary ingredient which is supposed to promote hair growth – just like in Tricomin. It should stimulate collagen production in the skin, which makes up about 80% of your skin and gives it structure, and stimulate the hair follicles. It is also used to heal skin irritations and wounds. Studies showed it has a stimulating effect similar to minoxidil 2%.
Saw Palmetto:
Saw Palmetto is a natural DHT inhibitor, used in many natural baldness cures, both oral and topical. It reduces the enzyme 5AR levels, resulting with less DHT.
Other Ingredients:
Folligen does not list the amounts of ingredients used in their products, however the list of ingredients contains effective materials proven the soothe the skin (such as Aloe Vera) that can be effective to reduce irritation caused by other topical products such as minoxidil. Beta-sitosterol is also supposed to help blocking DHT.
Folligen Website
The Folligen website is full with data and info. You will find long pages of details, research and scientific studies, testimonials & before and after photos. It’s a little hard to navigate in the website and find what you want. The site claims that Folligan contains 9.0 times more copper peptides per ounce than Concentrated Graftcyte (another brand) and 31.8 times more copper peptides per ounce than Tricomin.
Where to Buy Folligen
The best prices of Folligen products, as well as for many other hair loss products can be found in www.onlyhairloss.com
Folligen Cream is sold for $17.99 (2 oz) which is said to be a 40-day to 60-day supply.
You can also get:
Folligen Thinning Hair Loss Set (spray, shampoo and conditioner) – $57.99
Folligen Lotion – $17.99 (2 oz)
Folligen Shampoo – $16.99
Folligen Conditioner – $16.99
Folligen Spray* (8 oz) – $29.99
* Folligen spray is the equivalent product to Tricomin and GraftCyte spray, and costs only $29.99 for 8 oz while Tricomin costs $50 (6 oz) and GraftCyte $170 (5.7 oz).
Folligen Conclusion
In terms of value for money Folligen is the best pick out of all copper peptide hair loss products. It contains DHT blockers, hair growth stimulants and copper in high concentration (the higher concentration in the market). It can be a great complementary to your hair loss treatment regimen and you can use it safely together with other hair loss products. The combination of copper and DHT blockers is blessed, definitely a product worth trying.
