Your Baldness Treatment Options
Ok, so you hare losing your hair, you feel bad about it, your self esteem is not at its peak to say the least…
Many questions pops up in your head, such as
- how didn’t I see it earlier?
- what is my next step?
- how do I stop losing my hair?
- how do I regrow my hair?
- how to I hide thinning spots?
- what the best hair style that will “hide” my hair loss the best way?
- what is the best treatment that will help me?
and many other questions, blended well in your head, makes you panic… I know, I was there.
and the main question is – WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO NOW?
Well, let me put some order in this mass…
First – calm down, stress is a main cause for hairloss, it will not help if you’re stressed.
Now – call your doctor. You must understand the reason why you’re losing your hair. Insist of having a blood test, and other general physiological tests, like those people make once in a while. This is just to make sure the reason is not a medical condition, or such that relates to poor diet. Most importantly – a dermatologist will diagnose if it’s a pattern baldness – which is most likely the reason.
Then – once you know the reason – you can choose the baldness treatment. Put your other thoughts aside – you have 2 major goals now:
1. Stop your hair loss
2. Regrow your hair.
I assume it’s pattern baldness, because it’s the main reason for hair loss in men. About 95% of the hair loss occurrences in men are due to pattern baldness. Yes – 95%. Among women is less, but it’s still the #1 reason in women as well! If the reason is poor diet – make sure you change your habits, and consider supplements.
You have few options of treatment for hair loss and thinning hair:
Oral Solutions for Hairloss
1. Medications – Finasteride (Propecia – original or generic) and Dutasteride
2. Natural/herbal hair loss treatments – the list is long, for example Provillus, vitamins and minerals etc. I will not detail it here as any treatment requires it’s own post, so you can read about them separately.
Topical Solutions for Hairloss
1. Medications – Minoxidil, Retin-A and other medications.
2. Natural/herbal hair loss treatments – long list, take for example Revivogen.
Laser Therapy for Hair Loss
1. Laser therapy clinic – there are many laser therapy clinics. You can always visit one and use their laser machines. Thing is these clinics are extremely expensive, and you need to set an appointment for every treatment.
2. Laser therapy at home – using a laser comb. There are many laser combs, I will write about them as well so look for the related posts. This option is affordable for almost anyone. For few hundred dollars you can have your private laser comb that lasts for years.
Hair Loss Shampoo
1. Medical shampoo – nizoral shampoo.
2. Natural/herbal shampoos – long list, but take for example revita shampoo.
Alternative Hair Loss Solutions
That includes meditation, scalp massages, natural oils, alternative medicine, homeopathic treatments etc.
Getting Started – Find Your Baldness Cure
Your doctor will suggest minoxidil and propecia, as these are the only FDA approved medications. In some severe cases he may offer dutasteride / Avodart (rarely – it’s a prostate pill).
Still – you must learn about hair loss, and other proven and popular baldness cures. Get relevant info, learn the subject. Note that you can tailor a treatment according to your preferences. Some men may have side effects as a results of medications and can use other treatments, such as natural hair loss treatments. Some men refuse using medications regardless of side effects. The same for women.
There are treatments that may be new for you although they are already long time in the market. Allow yourself to try and explore, but also try to be focused.
My Recommendation – Best Baldness Treatment
From my experience, and after I read tons of material and tried many hair loss products and treatments, the real impact on hair regrowth is achieved only once you adopt a combo of treatments.
What I mean is that you should use at least 3 baldness cures if you want to see optimal, fast results (fast means 6 month to 1 year – you must be patient when it comes to hair restoration) and if you want hair regrowth.
A hairlose combo treatment can be for example – Propecia, Minoxidil and nizoral shampoo. This is the basic combo for men who believe in medications based on clinical studies.
Another hairloss combo tretament can be Provillus, Minoxidil and laser comb, for men or women who are don’t like the idea of oral medications, prefer natural oral treatment, and are willing to accept herbal or natural proven treatments options.
These are just simple basic examples, you can tailor many combos with many components.
There can be so many hairloss combo treatments… and so much you can do. 3 treatments is the minimum combo as I see it, and you can create a combo of more then 3 treatments /products (If you are not too much obsessed with your hair a 3-5 products combo is good enough and easy to add to your busy daily schedule).
It’s all up to you, so take a deep breath, and take action – now!
