Prox-n, Proxiphen-N by Dr. Proctor
Proxiphen N, also known as Prox N, is a topical product which combines 3 hair growth stimulants and designed for both men and women. It is a product developed by Dr. Peter Proctor – a famous doctor who develops baldness cures that usually combine few common follicle simulators and DHT inhibitors in one product.
Proxiphen N is the combination of Superoxide Dismutase, or SODs, pyridine-N-Oxide, and copper-binding peptides, all considered to be hair simulators. It is sold in a 2 oz/60 ml bottle (2 months supply – costs about $60), and considered to be a safe products.
Proxiphen N Hair Growth Stimulators
According to the Dr. Proctor, there are 3 hair growth-stimulating ingredients in Proxiphen N. Each is unique and works differently:
* Copper-binding peptides: Copper is a key ingredient to having a healthy hair. It is also the active ingredient in Tricomin and Folligen. Copper is important for the creation of proteins such as keratin in the hair follicles and studies shows that applying copper peptides directly on the scalp supports hair regrowth. Copper ion is a potent inhibitor of 5-alpha reductase, inhibiting both types (I and II) of 5-alpha reductase that produce DHT.
* SODs (Superoxide Dismutase) – improves the movement of nitric oxide to the hair follicle cells and prevents free radicals damage.
* N-Oxide (nitric oxide) – Increased presence of intracellular nitric oxide has been shown to increase the size & section of the hair follicle.
The overall effect of the blend is supposed to stimulate the hair follicles and support healthy, normal hair growth.
Prox N Ingredients List
Allantoin, ascorbate, ascorbylpalmitate, arginine, BHT, 3 carboxypyridine-N-Oxide, CU/ZN-binding peptides (from CU/ZN sulfates), EDTA, propyleneglycol, superoxide dismutases, water
How Long Does it Take to See Hair Regrowth?
According to Dr. Proctor it will take about 5 months to see regrowth. The product includes hair stimulants that work similar to minoxidil, but without the minoxidil side effects. Minoxidil is very cheap comparing to the expensive Proxipen N, but Proxiphen N does not have any known side effects, and it is also using the copper peptide technology, which is known to be effective. When combining Prox-N with Minoxidil you get a powerful mix of hair stimulants and the effect should be stronger then using each of these products alone. This is also a rule of thumb – it’s better to add few products/treatments to attack the baldness problem from few angles.
Prox N – Bottom Line
Proxiphen N is an effective hair growth stimulator that also uses copper to boost its results. In terms of price it may not be your 1st pick, as there are cheaper solutions also proven to work but in terms of cost-benefit you should consider trying it, as it’s a quality product and there are many positive reports from people who use it and achieve satisfying hair growth results. For optimal results don’t hesitate to use it in addition to your minoxidil treatment and get a powerful combo of follicle stimulants!
