I disagree on that. FDA approval is irrelevant to 99.9% of hair loss products. Only 2 have FDA approval - propecia and minoxidil, as drugs. You can't disqualify provillus, as it contains only few nutrients (unlike multivitamins) together with herbal complex. If you say that this is a scam you actually disqualify all the hair loss supplements, as all contain the main ingredients that you'll find in provillus. Sure, you can buy saw palmetto, zinc, vitamin B complex etc separately, but you'll find it hard to assemble the exact mix, and it will cost you even more. Regarding side effects, anything you eat, drink, breath or apply can cause side effects if you're sensitive, but this can't be compared to synthetic drugs that are used daily for many years.

Provillus is a scam and tries to play on the fact that it is herbal with no side effects like Propecia which is clinically proven to work and like all medicines can have side effects in a small percentage of patients.
Because the makers of Provillus ( like all the others for that matter ) promote their product as herbal they are able to sell their product making false claims because their product hasn't gone through the rigorous testing a FDA approved medicine would have done to prove it does what it claims to do.
If you look at the ingredients of these herbal products they are basically vitamins you can get cheaply down your local shops eg Holland & Barratt for example.
