Minoxidil for Men and Women – Part B
Who Should Avoid Minoxidil?
People with certain medical conditions should not use minoxidil. That includes skin disorders (such as psoriasis), pregnant women and people who use certain medications. If you have any side effect you should report about it to your doctor. Minoxidil is a medication so it’s better to consult with a doctor before use.
Minoxidil Results
Minoxidil is shown to be effective after four to six months of daily use. It is normalĀ to notice an increase in the shedding in the initial weeks of use, and there is no reason to panic. It is a normal part of the hair cycle and hair will regrow stronger and thicker than before. You must use minoxidil consistently in order to get ongoing results. Once you stop using it for your pattern baldness, shedding of hair will return and the hair regrowth will be stopped.
Minoxidil Limitations
Minoxidil is a follicle stimulator – but is not a DHT inhibitor. Men who suffer from male pattern baldness should not use it as a sole treatment if they want to keep long lasting results. The DHT damage to the follicles may overcome the minoxidil effect so it’s recommended by doctors to add finasteride and other hair loss treatments to fight the harmful DHT effect.
Where to Buy Minxodil and its Price
You can get minoxidil in any pharmacy, it is sold over the counter. You can also get it in the internet, where the prices are the best. A 3 months supply of minoxidil 5% should cost approximately $15-$20 online (for Kirkland minoxidil or any manufacturer or brand name other then Rogaine which costs almost twice as much). 6 months supply should cost about $30. Men’s foam minoxidil should cost about $50 for a 3 pack (3 month supply) and $60 for a 4 pack.
Minoxidil 2% for women is more expensive then men’s, and costs about twice as much, and there is less variety of brands, maybe because most the minoxidil customers are men.

Minoxidil Review – Bottom Line
Minoxidil is one of the best hair loss treatments against male or female pattern baldness. It is used by millions of people worldwide in great success, and is considered safe and effective.
If you are losing your hair – this is the first product your doctor will offer you together with propecia as these two are the only FDA approved medications for pattern baldness.
Minoxidil is affordable, and you can get it online in budget prices. No doubt, in terms of cost-benefit minoxidil is the best baldness cure.
